my 1yr old son has a lump
I have just noticed my one year old son has a lump located just under where his ribcage joins together. It feels quite solid and is about the size of a pea.
Does anyone know what this could be, should I take him to the hospital or go to the doctors in the morning. Have got myself a bit worried and dont know what to do...

My Mum thought it was because of a nasty fall I had. The fall was just when she found it. Dentist told me a few years back that I was probably born with it.
It's still fitting snuggly in my saliva gland.
Take him to the Docs..but don't worry too much.

Hazel, unless it is causing him pain or discomfort don't phone NHS Direct. They can arrange an out of hours Doctor, but there will be bugger all he can or will do as he is not your GP. OOH docs are a massive expense to the NHS (just a call back from a doc costs the NHS £40, a vist is charged at approx £75ph depending on where you live). You will either have to wait hours for a doc to come and visit at 3am, or they will do their other favourite trick and call an ambulance.
Just wait till tomorrow and book with your GP.
