Can anyone remember years ago those "toilet seat" type rings your Mum put on your head when it came to rinsing your hair of shampo. My son screams blue murder when I was his hair as he's terrified of getting water in his eyes, which I never do. Can't remember what these things are called and where to get them but would love to buy him one!

I have visions of your Mum sticking your head down the toilet when she washed your hair.

What a cruel woman.
I've gotta admit it was the w.t.f. aspect of the question title that made me look at it :)
lol i had to look at the q, fantastic!
I'd just get him a pair of goggles or perservere. If he gets used to the water going on his face, it'll help when he is learning to swim.
That's no way for a 15 year-old to behave, btw.
If you position him sitting with his back to the basin with his head over the basin as you do when you go to the hairdresser then the water - shampoo - conditioner cannot get into his eyes. You may need to put cushions on the chair to get him high enough but it may be worth it to stop the problems.
I'm a cruel parent - I just poured the water straight over their heads from when thery were babies. they don't have a fear of water anymore. I think when they wer about 14 months or so - they took a slight wobbly with it, but it only lasted a week or two and they were fine again.
i used them, a large chemist im sure will stock them

Thanks everyone ... he is 3yrs old and the screams will crack the Walls! The water in his eyes when he goes swimming doesn't bother him and I've already done the goggles trick to no avail!
They are useful but is better to make it a game and get them used to it, still do it with the grandchildren.
I was talking about this very product last night, as I used to use it on my children. I am taking a Betterware cup which keeps the rinsing away from the eyes out to Chicago on Saturday for my grandson. Reviews here
