Don't exceed the dose for either, but you can give them in between each other - i.e. dose calpol and then 2 hours later can give nurofen, then 2 hours calpol (check the bottle though to check the correct interval as I am quoting from memory that calpol is 4 hourly) I always found that nurofen was better at bringing down the temperature, but apparently it isn't so gentle on the tummy as calpol. Therefore, normally if she had a sore tummy I was say avoid the nurofen, but on balance I would think that getting her temperature down was more important than her tummy upset. You need to try to get some liquid into her, wouldn't worry about food so much at this point. Would she maybe suck some flat lemonade through a straw? Just slightly water down full sugar lemonade and this will get rid of the bubbles and should perk her up a bit. Ice pops are also good to keep in the freezer for her to suck on both for liquid and her comfort. I always keep a few for bumps as well - it's amazing how quickly the bump is no longer sore wen you tell them they can eat the ice pop when their knee feels better!
Hope the wee one feels better soon.
