Jehovah Witness and smoking/cannabis use.
30 Answers
Firstly forgive me if my question sounds silly but i was recently dumped again by my EX Jehovah witness boyfriend. This is the 3 rd time he's done it. Whilst he professed to no longer be a Jehovah Witness he CERTAINLY acted in ways that really reinforced my belief that he still had 'Jehovah beliefs' ie he didn't celebrate any occasion (thats just one example)when he dumped me 5 weeks ago he said i'd lied about something? and until i found the humility to accept that, i wasn't to text him! totally out of the blue, Anyhow I 100% did not lie about anything,i promise that. All i can think of was i had the occasional cigarette (tut tut i know its bad for me)when i was stressed, incidently the 1st time he dumped me triggered this filthy habit. He never outright asked me if i smoked, so i didn't lie, but he regularly took cannabis ( out of a bong?)anyhow he didn't smoke it. So if he still believes, isn't taking cannabis as bad as smoking? I'm so sorry if i've posted this in teh wrong section.

i took him back because i loved him but i now see i was a fool. I'm trying to understand what i may have done wrong and i know that smoking is not 'permitted' if you are a JW (forgive me if i'm incorrect) so isn't taking cannabis just as bad as smoking? reading your posts has helped me gain strength.thankyou so much xx i won't allow myself to be dumped a 4th time.
gosh yeah, i can't believe how silly i've been! he didn't like the tv and liked to lock himself away and listen to radio4! he wouldn't allow me to buy him any gift and basically let me feel his disapproval as i purchased Christmas gifts for my little girl! i'm 33 he's 42 yet i felt like a 60 yr old! and he said he was an EX Jehovah witness!!
