Blood-stained clothes from child #4 are soaking in cold, salted water (thanks Aber's for the advice). Baby tooth from child #3 found (in garden - small garden, but very small tooth), tooth fairy been and gone and money left in designated place (Jesse from Toy Story's hat) - think I can switch off now.

Time to sit down, open a bottle of wine, and put your feet up sherrard.
What's the rate for a tooth now? It used to be sixpence.

Hi Sandy - it's £1 unless you swallow it (£2) or you lose two in one day (one by the normal route and one by your brother's hand = £5).
Wait for it.

Any minute now.

The small voice telling you "Mum, I don't feel well" . . .

;-)
Are you quite sure about the salt? I thought blood was just soaked in plain water.

Too late, child #4 has just appeared at the top of the stairs, now lying next to me on the settee (as she does most nights - quite like it actually, and she has had a bad day).
That is so sweet (tooth) well done you ;-) it used to be ten pence for me... I once got a fifty and was rich for a WHOLE week.
im sorry sher,, but should you not be making bread, ironong, darning socks, making dresses for the girls and trousers for the boys , honestly young mums today. !!!!!!!!! :)

Hi Anne - you made me smile then, 'young mums' - I wish, I am an old mum!
sher, do you ever get to sit down at all ?
Question Author
Hi Anne - youngest two are asleep by about 7.30, then the next two are in bed by 8.15 and the oldest goes up by 9.30. Get plenty of time to spend with them without doing house stuff just been a one-off kind of day (there was lots of blood when child #4 hit her mouth today, but she's fine now).
Aww what a day! How old are your children, sher? My little one sneaks into bed for snuggles first thing of a morning - which I absolutely adore, not sure it'll be so cute when he's a teenager though. :p

Hi Lore, they are 10, 7, 5 and 2 x 3 year olds (all planned - but obviously didn't factor in twins!).
Aww how lovely! And twins, what a nice surprise! A well earned cup of tea and a nice sit down is in order. :)
