My period is going to start soon... I can feel it...When I get my period my cramps are very bad... They have always been bad... I have passed out 3+ times not in the same day, Gotten headaches, nausea, fatigue and dizziness also lightheadedness. There was something wrong with my mom's period so she had to have a Hysterectomy. There was also something wrong with her mom's period as well. My sister thinks there is something wrong with hers to... When I get cramps I get them in my legs to... Sometimes it hurts more on my right side... They get so bad that yes I have passed out. Today I spent the whole day in bed... I've begged my mom to take me to the ER several times but she won't do it. I have to take 3 or more Ibuprofen to get rid of my cramps... I'm 20, have had Thyroid problems, I've had an Ultrasound done, I've also had a Pelvic Exam done(They didn't find anything) I've also been put on Zovia and Levora birth control and they didn't help... I've tried taking a bath, the fetal position and a heating pad... Nothing works... I usually pass out before I get any relief...I am being put on the DEPO shot soon but idk if it will help... I also have type 1 Diabetes. 2 times when I passed out I was laying down. The last time I passed out was in front of my bedroom door... Everything just went White and I woke up a few hours later wondering what happened...My right side hurts right now... under my belly button also... I think that I might have Uterine Fibroids or Endomitriosis... I have symptoms of both... I have also lost just straight tissue as well. I have also never had sex so I KNOW I'm not pregnant so I can't be having a miscarriage either... So idk should I go to the hospital? If they get really bad again should I go to the ER and have a full body scan done or Laparoscopic Surgery? Should I have a more detailed Ultrasound done? I do also only have pain in my right side and leg and under my belly button right now... I do have Anemia but I don't take anything for it...So what should I do? I mean something's wrong here... I can feel it... Cramps SHOULD NOT be this bad and I have tried everything and I mean everything to get rid of them with no relief... I mean the next time this happens and I feel like I'm going to pass out or I do pass out and my mom won't take me to the ER should I just call 911? If so what should I tell them? Please help... I mean something is really wrong here... Serious answers please....Anything helps... Thanks...

As you are in the US, and this is a UK based answerbank, it is unlikely anyone here would know how the 'system' works where you live

I would suggest that, as you pass out and can be out for a 'few hours' you definitely need some sort of medical attention and urgently considering you are a diabetic also

If you pass out again - call 911 immediately when you are able

Do you live with your parents?
Actually cramps can be that bad.... but they are not being managed very well.

1. try not to panic you will tense up and make them worse
2. Try yoga, there are a number of positions that can release some of the tension the 'cat' is good as are the ones that twist your pelvis a little
3. A drug called buscopan can help with the cramping ask your family doctor
4. The depo should help as it will 'switch off' the whole process for a while
5. Stop looking up your symptoms if an ultrasound didn't pick up anything and the pelvic exam was normal you will just convince yourself there is more wrong than there is.
6. It will probably get better as you get older...how old are you by the way?
But passing out for a few hours isn't normal, surely?

I'm 20 and the next time that I feel like I'm going to pass out because of cramps and my mom won't take me to the hospital I think that I'm just going to call 911... I mean what else can I do? And passing out for a few hours ins't normal...
I doubt you are passing out for a few hours rather you are overdoing the painkillers... I doubt your mom would allow you to be unconscious without calling for help. Perhaps if it happens again she should call for assistance but are you really 'unrousable ' during this time or just sleeping. Another thought is could you possibly be epileptic and the stress is triggering fits... after a fit sufferers will often sleep deeply for some time. You should go back to your doctor for further management and get your family to record what actually happens when you 'pass out' Do you sometimes find you have 'wet yourself' when you wake up.

My mom doesn't know when I pass out because I'm in my room in unbearable pain...And no I don't wet myself... And I'm not overdosing either... I really do pass out....
in your room for a few hours out cold and your mum doesn't notice?

Are you sure you haven't just gone to sleep because the pain meds have made the pain bearable for you?

My mom thinks I'm taking a nap I guess... Sometimes she isn't home... And yes I'm sure that I haven't just gone to sleep... Everything just goes White and then I wake up a few hours later...
911 then - IMO it's your only choice

Do you not have a Dr you can make an appointment with?

Well if I am in severe pain and feel like I'm going to pass out and my mom won't take me to the ER then I'm going to call 911... But what do I tell them? Also what will they do when I get to the Hospital? Also I do have a regular DR. but she won't listen she never listens to me...
Pink kittens has told you what you should do Sam, it is quite difficult as the USA has a different system to ours, just tell 911 what you have told us, I hope it's resolved that way

Ok... Thanks...
Age 20

Type 1 diabetes
Thyroid problems (no details)
Anaemia.
Ultrasound and pelvic examination normal.
Oral contraceptives...didn't help.

ER stands for EMERGENCY and in my opinion your condition cannot be described as EMERGENCY

IF...if.....your medical situation is as you describe, then you need the help of a Gynaecologist............again!
'passing out for a 'few hours' '

Even you must agree that with diabetes type 1 that IS an emergency, it shouldn't be happening and it's more important that she receives attention

samantha, just tell them what you have told us here
pinki

/// I have passed out 3+ times not in the same day,///

No even in a diabetic that is not necessarily an emergency as she obviously came round again and hence unlikely to be anything to do with her diabetes.

No....not my idea of an emergency.
ok, thanks for that
pink ;-)
Sam - print off what you've typed on here, and take that to your doctor. Make them read it.
if you were in the uk and felt like you were going to pass out and called an ambulance, they would probably laugh at you. If they didn't, you'd sit in accident and emergency for 4 hours before they sent you home with ibuprofen or something
hang on, youre 20. why are you complaining that your mum isnt taking you (when you admitted that she doesnt know at the time), are you incapable of getting yourself to a doctor?
but i do agree that its not something ER would be necessary for. go back to your doctor again and do something about your anemia.
btw, leg cramps are very common with period pains.
