Anyone else bigger quicker 2nd time round??

Hi girls (and nosey men),

This is my second pregnancy and I'm 11 weeks.
I seem to have ballooned over the weekend and have a fair baby bump. My trousers are quite uncomfortable already!? I'm sure I was around 5 months when I felt the need to buy maternity wear first time round.

Should I be expecting a whopper this time or is this quite normal?

Quite normal as the stomach muscles have done it before :-)

Like a balloon that's been blown uo once, your muscles loosen up much more readily second time round. My second was also strangely low -I looked a bit like a duck.

I found my 3rd was exactly the same as the 2nd....so I don't think it gets worse the more you have.

I can't honestly remember but I do have a sneaky feeling that I was bigger quicker.

I was tiny the first time when I was having my daughter... there were some people didnt believe me I was pregnant even just before I had her..... then when I was having my son I was huge at 3 or 4 months.... my daughter weighed 5lb 6 and my son 5lb 8 (or maybe the other way round, its so long ago i cant remember) so you may not be having a whopper :) and congrats x

It was also bigger quicker...but not bigger at the end.

my 2 both weighed the same and i showed quite well by 12 weeks with first but with second my bump ballooned immediately lol

I got bigger earlier with all 3 of mine, although I was in maternity wear at 12 weeks with the first one as well. My second labour was also very quick (2 ½ hours)

lol, I asked this question when I was pg with my 2nd and was told it was normal. I was in maternity jeans by 12 weeks with my 2nd - she was born smaller than my 1st. :)
