18 weeks pregnant with what I think are palpitations???

Hi guys,

I'm 18 weeks pregnant and for the past few days been getting really bad palpitations? My heart is beating so hard and fast it's really frightening.
Is this normal????

Contact your midwife as soon as possible, palpitations are not normal in pregnancy, it can be a symptom of pre eclampsia.

Hi Linzi, how did you get on? My thyroid went overactive when I was pregnant with NO 2 and that was the only symptom I had.....a racing heart and awful palpatations....hope you had it check out. x

It can also be a hormonal effect and nothing to worry about.
Get it checked out, though.
