Plasticky smelling steriliser
Sorry to post this in pregnancy but thought it was the best place.
In short, I'm combining breast and bottle feeding (expressed milk) and use a Tommee Tippee steam steriliser.
We accidentally put a dummy container in with the bottles when we first used it and it came out warped so clearly not suitable for steaming.
All the bottles that come out of the steriliser have a plasticky smell to them and I'm unsure if this is normal or due to the item that warped when we first used it.
I'm using medela and TT own bottles so they are BPA free.
Can anyone shed any light on this for me? Is this normal?
Thanks in advance.

i am also using medela bottles and had a good sniff when i steri;ised earlier. The breast pump apparatus did not smell, neither did the yello valve thingy. However, the bottle did smell plasticky
Can i ask you a question?
how are you finding enough time to express AND bottle feed the baby? i plan to do this because my baby is in special care and she tires quickly so can't take all she needs directly from the source(!) but can suck from a bottle easier. i was trying to work out how i could work it when i got home but i just can't see how i'm going to manage time-wise.
