Feeling very, very sorry for myself at the mo,my disabilities are playing up so much I cannot do much and it is REALLY getting to me.
No Christmas shopping,no cooking, decorating, cannot even clean the poor fish tank out.Constant pain is driving me mad,as is asking everyone to get me stuff when they are out and they don't,or them asking what I want and all I want is to nose around the shops(not in my wheelchair that is too frustrating even if I could go out in it)and pick up the things I didn't know I wanted but as soon as I see them, need them.
Cannot even sit here and just get drunk (cannot drink)
So there you go.I think I am Scrooge this year.
Bah humbug :-(((

Sorry everyone
Hope everyone else is having a better time of it than me.

you and yours have had a stinker of a year. Can you shop on-line?
Do Christmas when you feel up to it, it's not set in stone :-D xx
Awwwwww ((((hugs))))
Sorry to hear you are feeling down. I hope you get lots of cheering responses
fom this site. Everything seems worse at Christmas when everyone is so busy and cheerful. Actually probably quite a lot of them are not so cheerful - stressed and exhausted more like it. And those that are flooded out of their homes and with the weather forecast promising much more to come. I feel so sorry for those folk. Lots of kind thoughts are sent your way from me.
Sorry to hear about your troubles ayabrea. It is a horrible time of year when you are not feeling well.

My physical health is reasonable just now but my mental health is pretty dismal - and seems to be sliding in the wrong direction.

Come to the AB party on Christmas day. There will be a few of us here and I will be sober too. :-)
AB party??

details ?
lots of hugs to you and your family ((((((((((((((((((((()))))))))))))))))))))).

you sound very down. can't think how to cheer you up. do any painkillers help?

but christmas is whenever you feel like having it. had mine last weekend when daughter visited. prawn risotto for chrissie dinner because that is what she fancied. she hadn't visit for nearly two years. very special time. she didn't realise how important it was to me. don't want her feeling guilty. she works too hard for me to do that. had chrissie. don't care now.

wolf - more hugs (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((())))))))))))))))))))))))))
but seriously, ayabrea

i can only echo what has been said here, and my heart goes out to you

take comfort in the fact that you have friends on here
Is the AB party just for people like us who cannot go out so come on here to celebrate. Supply your own mince pies and christmas pud but get some welcome chat on this website. There is always someone here - and in the meantime, aya, lots of good thoughts going your way. Hope you feel a bit better soon. Even a bit is better than nothing!
Here is another hug from me ((( hug ))), I do so hope you get some relief from your pain,I know how debilitating constant pain is. Don't apologise for coming and having a 'go ' on here, we all do it xxx
Aya and family, I can understand how this gets you down and the time of year seems to make it worse - sending you love, strength and peace and a better new year.
So sorry you're having a rough time, on the other hand, shops are crazy places at the minute with loads of bad tempered people pushing and shoving. So hugs from here too and I hope you feel better soon xxx
I may get a lot of things wrong Ayabreabut, try & pick yourself up, we all at one time get the Shts with one thing or another, you know there are people / friends on here that will listen, chin up have a sherry or two, & speak to this site / world. x

Got to admit I do feel a little better, thanks for all the kind words and hugs.

I feel mean feeling the way I do,I mean Hubby has got it hard, and is trying to cope with the new way of life,as am I.I just don't want to spoil it for the kids, master Aya has been a star,he has been ever so nice and helpful, funny and just generally nice to be around(even if he does say he will turn into a monster come Boxing day LOL)Miss Aya seems to have her own little bubble to live in at the moment and is distant from us,she does not chat and joke around us anymore, but I remember the teenage years and respect her wanting space to herself.
Wolf, don't be sliding like me,first step to stopping sliding is admitting that you are.I am sure people here will give you a helping hand if you want to grab hold.Hugs to you ((((()))))

Big thanks to you all, this year has been a stinker to say the least, hope 2013 is better, could it be worse???(don't answer that)

Thanks again
Love Aya B
oh lawdy, the teenage years! Have 2 sons, heaven knows what a teen daughter is like!

I've a packet of jelly babies if you fancy sharing? xx
where are you ? if you are within 25 miles of Essex I will come and do all your shopping on Sunday, or come with you or just sit and chat, I understand what you must be going thru and would like to help Dee.
sorry didnt see your last post before I posted takes me ages to type,I hope things get better but my offer is still there.
Question Author
Thank you very much Dee,I am nowhere near where you are,but you sound like an angel.

I will bring the Midget Gems,I may be grumpy but I know how to party LOL.
So sorry to hear you are struggling aya.
I don't know the ages of your children but could all of you sit down and perhaps make up a programme for Christmas. Say a Dickens theme, and arrange games that all of you can take part in, taking all your abilities/disabilities, into account?
There might also be local organisations or individuals, even at this late stage, who may be able to help get something in for you....
I think the rest of us feel, like me, so helpless under circumstances like these.
Let's all hold on to wolfy and aya - group hug - 1,2,3...... (( ))
