Fray Bentos Pies....

Just had a great trip down memory lane about fray bentos pies, my dad used to make them for me with chip pan chips. Also vesta meals we used to have paella or chow mien with crispy noodles. Can you remember them? Can you still get them?
Any others that you can remember that you used to eat?

Lots of places sell Fray Bentos pies. Poundshops, Home Bargains,....that type of shop.
They do a chicken one now!

Fray Bentos pies are still in all the supermarkets.
Vesta meals are still going as well but not in as many places as the pies.

Oh I have to get one tony. Just the thought of a pie in a tin is cracking my sons up. I will have to introduce them to the joys of a Frey bentos steak and kidney pie.

Or a chicken one baths as I haven't had the joy of tasting that one!

I had the same nostalgia trip recently and tried Fray Bentos pies. Trust me, it's a no.
As for Vesta Chow Mein...still awesome!

The last FB pie I bought had one piece of beef and the rest gravy. They are nothing like they were.

I've got several Fray Bentos pies in my kitchen cupboard, as 'emergency standby' meals. All of the major supermarkets stock them but the best place to look for them is often discount stores, pound shops, etc where (when they can be over £2 elsewhere) they're often sold for just a quid. I also have a few Vesta meals in my cupboard, as an occasional treat. (Yes, I know that they're rubbish really but I quite like some of them, although Premier Foods seem to have discontinued most of them now). Again, the best place to look for them can be discount stores, e.g.
