Flu Like Symptoms

I wasn't going to post about this as there have been numerous posts already on this subject but.....

I had my cv jab yesterday lunchtime. I thought I'd just have a sore arm like most have mentioned, however last night I woke up shivering and this morning I have a temperature and aching all over. I struggled to even walk to the bathroom.

Last time I felt like this was when I had flu several years ago. Did anyone else get this after their jab?

Which did you have ? AZ ? Several friends had this one and were the same as you but it didn't last more than a day...
I had pfizer and was ok.

Yes I did. I had an unpleasant few days then around 3 days when I felt really washed out. I had the same the first year I had the adjuvanted (over 65's) flu vaccine. In both cases its not nice but better than getting the illness.

All of us had the AZ and had no symptoms at all, not even a sore arm.

Many people have complained of similar reactions, though

I can't recall ever having had reactions to any jabs in the past.

I had AZ and was rough for a couple of days. My BIL also displayed the same symptoms as you, my sister said he needed two hot water bottles and an extra blanket, so not unheard of.

i had the astra zeneca jab and ended up with shakes for almost three hours. not nice at all

That's the reaction I have to flu jabs so I expected worse from covid, had the pfizer very sore arm the next day and a headache next evening. Just had an early night ok the following morning

Had the AZ , same symptoms as you Tiggs however only lasted 24 hrs

Was supposed to go to my new house today to take some more stuff that's being stored at my nan's. Gonna have to leave it till tomorrow now.

As you say there have been lots of posts on this and in discussion with real people who've had the jab. The conclusion is either vaccine may or may not give you side effects - ranging from none to a few days in duration. I think it's totally random, there is no pattern and doesn't mean anything either. Just pot luck.

what has come out of these posts is how many women on AB, seem to have been affected. Men not so much.

I also had the az vaccine and no symptoms.

many of those on AB have said they mostly didn't have any symptoms.

I did, lasted 2 full days, woke on the third day feeling fine

Seven days ago I had the AV vaccine. At midnight after having it I had possibly the worst headache of my life. Couldn't move from the sofa the following day. Have been sweating while trembling with the cold. My skin actually hurts at times. Headaches and double vision everyday since. My joints ache.
Suffering from various intolerances and allergies I have been dreading having the Vaccine, I was expecting to have a reaction, but nothing like this. Today will be the eighth bad day since having it.

Took some paracetamol 2 hours ago, fell asleep for about half an hour and now sweating.

Yes, had AZ, first day ok, day after, I had same reactions as you, lasted just over a week, but I am on strong immuno suppressants and have a very low immune system, so it possibly lasted so long because of that. hope you feel better soon. Its worth it in the end just for the peace of mind .
