group b strep

Have just found out I have group b strep and am 34 weeks pregnant. Thank God we know and I will be treated during labour, but can anyone who has been through it give us a bit more reassurance please?

I have just had a quick look on the web and found an official website for the Group B strep association. It seems to be quite a good website and its address is http://www.groupbstrep.org/ Hope this is of some use.

Thanks WendyW, I have looked at various sites for Group B Strep - some more worrying than others, and even the site supplied by the hospital - it's just that I wondered if there were any Jo (or Joanne) Bloggs' out there who could tell me of their own experiences of KNOWING they had it and how effective the treatment during labour was (in relation to the babys' health).
