Try sipping ice cold water or go and brush your teeth - you are used to having a fag after a meal, so your brain is expecting *something*. What you need to do is replace that *time for a fag* with something else at the moment, hence the suggestions above. I'm sure other folk here will come up with other ideas for you too !

Well Done!!
I too am a 'member', and have been for nearly 5 years.
You will be like this for quite a while, its just breaking the habit, it will pass, but it does take time.
The main things I did when I wanted to munch for england were, chopping carrots, mushrooms, celery in fact anything healthy and having it all handy in the fridge ready to eat in little pots (Plus you can have a good munch while you're preparing!!) Also, your weight does increase so if you can increase your exercise, you should find it easier with not smoking. GOOD LUCK & STICK WITH IT!!!

I used to smoke heavily for 10 years or so.
Read any of Alan Carrs book's on the easy way to stop smoking or the easy way to lose weight etc.
Ignore the book for about a month as it won't make sense at first, however just do as the book tells you to do.
If you are like me and am a lazy reader, pay to go to any of his clinics around England (they are listed in the appendicies' s of his books).
You will never have to use will power again or suffer any anguise with 'supposed problems of stopping smoking'
I know you don't know me but I hope you can trust me with this invaluable advice I'm giving you, the whole 'Alan Carr thing made sense very quickly after the initial scepticism'
