I have just discovered that I am pregnant only by 2 months, but the problem is that about a month ago I prescribed oxytetacycline antibiotics by my doctor and I am really worried that my baby will be badly effected by this. I am really afraid and I considering getting rid of it but at the same time I'd love to keep it. Has anyone been through the same thing, and if so what happened. Please please help me I don't know what to do.

OK, I am not a medical doctor, but...

According to my memory, oxytetracycline is not prescribed to pregnant women during the last few months of pregnancy because it may affect bone and tooth growth and cause discoloration. If you took it in the first month, I think you'll be fine.

BUT... you should be discussing this with your obstetrician. Only they can give you the right advice.

Good luck.
See your GP.

But I wouldn't worry too much. Babies are born to drug addicts and alcoholics with no long term effects. So the chances of antibiotics having an effect is quite minimal.
