Signs of Going Into Labour
My Girlfriend is due to give birth in a couple of days. Did any of you ABers have any signs before labour starts. I know every pregnancy is different but anything would help. My Girlfriend says she doesn't feel anything different, she just feels the same as she has throughout the pregnancy

When i was due to give birth i was waiting for all these signs to let me know i was in labour ie. a show, waters breaking etc. but none of these happened - sounds daft when i think about it now as the baby was already 9 days late but on this particular day i didn't put it down to the early stages of labour, i just couldn't get comfortable, i tried laying down, sitting up, walking around and thought it was just a stomach ache!! it wasn't until later that evening the pain became stronger and labour well and truly kicked in!!!!
Good luck and all the very best to you and your girlfriend.

Hi, Congratulations, bet your well excited and nervous! I felt the same all the way through my pregnancy - fit as a fiddle. I started with faint period pains on the monday and they got worse each day till friday when I decided enough was enough and I was going to hospital to have them get it out of me!!! I was 2 weeks over my due date too - it wasnt a mad crazy rush like they show you on telly! So chill out, dont worry. You'll be fine. And your girlfriend will know when its time. Good luck.
Apparently you do get 'nesting 'feelings a few days before but you're not all that aware of them. I remember washing the front door, which is someting I've never done before or since. Very strange!
If you mean physically, the pains are usually the first sign, and it's a long haul so there's no need to panic,as poopy says,it's not normally like on the telly (unfortunately!!!!)
