I've been working for a company for over a year, so can definately get it, but how much should I get? Do I get it weekly/monthly? Or is it paid by my employer as if it were my wages?

I believe you get 90% of your pay for the first six weeks and then its something like 108 a week for the remaining weeks. Have a look here:-

the first 6 weeks at 90% is paid by your employer (they claim it from government though) and youre paid as normal. I dont know about the rest though
