loads love. and depends on whether your working or not too. If your on Income support because u dont work u get lots of grants etc, your rent and council tax paid. If u are working u get your child care paid, tax credits and get to keep what ever maintainance he gives u (joke in my case).
bl@@dy loads! my friends that are single parents are always better off financially than me and my husband. You get tax credits, working tax credits, housing benefits (where they even pay your rent or interest on your mortgage) and loads more.
you will also get milk vouchers i am a single mum (not working) when baby was born i got 500 pounds maternity grant! now i get 55pounds tax credits 48pounds income support 18 child benifits 9pounds worth of milk/fruit and veg tokens rent paid council tax paid i can get cheap child care if i go back to work so its not bad at all
