periods and pregnancy!

sorry to sound so stupid, but is the first day of your period the first day of bleeding, or would you say the first day of coloured discharge? also, i always had irregular periods until i went on the pill, then i was 28 days regular. this has been my first month off the pill and i'm about 36 days (with signs of my period coming soon). i just don't have any idea as to when i will be most fertile next month.

How long exactly have you been off the pill? And how long has it been since your last period?
For me, the first day would be when the bleeding starts but I personally do not have a coloured discharge beforehand.

hmmmm, i get coloured discharge about a day or two before. i started bleeding on my last period on the 2nd june (expecting my body would still be in the routine of having a 28 day cycle from being on the pill - thought i may have come on by now). i've done a preg test and i'm not pregnant. i mean, i'll happily have sex every day off the month to increase my chances;) i've only had one month off from the pill

Then I would say just carry on enjoying it and let nature takes its course! lol

It may take some time for things to settle down now you have stopped taking the pill. Most women dont get pregnant for sometime after stopping.
