foods that make you feel sick
who here can eat something and then feel sick as a dog after it?! yesterday i had a 15 minute stint of having to breath through severe sickness while we were on the motorway. could have stopped and been sick but i'm trying not to be sick so far. it's horrible though.
so far, Frijj milkshakes have reacted badly, as have sugar free sweets (culprit yesterday) and the tomato soup i had for lunch really isn't sitting well! is this just a coincidence or my body telling me that what i had it doesn't like?! or is it a case of could be both?? there are so many unanswered questions in pregnancy because there are so many potential answers!!

There are some theories that its your bodies way of telling you what to avoid eating, a natural protection like when animals instinctively know what they can and cant eat.
Some foods give off toxins which a pregnant womans body will detect and try and prevent you from eating by making you feel ill. The opposite of cravings in a way.
Try and eat what you fancy and eat little and often as your digestive system is running a lot slower now you are pregnant. Watch out for sugar free sweets as some contain a nasty sweetener which is not advised for toddlers so i doubt very much it is advised for pregnant women. I think its aspartame or something, cant quite remember as im suffering from a bad case of pregnancy brain lol

I'm with you lorrymac! I am 9 weeks pregnant and the thought of salad makes me want to heave, just the thought actually has me gagging - lettuce, spinach, tomato, cucumber...... *barf*.
Luckily I am eating lots of fruit and stuff so am getting my five a day, but my appetite has dropped dramatically and I find I fancy more creamy things (I guess I need the calcium) than I did before. When I eat a small meal it tends to just sit in my stomach and I can feel it like it is not being digested.
Oh, I can't wait for the fun stuff to begin.... like when I am showing and after my scan when I can actually see the baby! At the moment I am a grumpy, tired sick puppy!
