It is around day 14.
I too thought it was day 14.x
usually around day 14 but can be anywhere inbetween
Day 10 to 15.
Get an ovulation test kit and start testing from day 10.
I think your nurse needs to go back to college!
STOP!! get this book its will tell you how you can tell when your body ovulates its called "taking charge of your fertility" by toni weschler, its full of wonderfull info abot you fertility and how it works ect ect real ggod by from play.com the book is large but worth reading,
i got pg around day 17-18 so guess i was later than the books say :-)
When you ovulate very much depends on the length of your cycle. For example, if your period arrives every 24 days instead of 28, you will ovulate sooner than someone with a cycle of say 32 days who may not ovulate until day 20 so it is very much an individual thing.
Do get that book reccomended by the other lady, it really is worth the money.
It is annoying that they use the 14 day thing, I knew the exact date of conception on a pregnancy last year but they seemed obsessed by the date of my last period. The scan was spot on with my date and way of on theirs. Sadly, we lost the baby at 13 weeks and have just lost another at 10. We hope to try again with the knowledge we gained from the book. All the best.
Just remembered. Dont buy ovulation kits from a shop. They are around 20 for one month and does not include a preg test. Go to Zoombaby.com (i think, or .co.uk). You can get 20 ovulation and 4 pregnancy test incl. postage for less than 20-that's four months supply.

The answer depends on your cycle length. If your cycle length is 28 days, then it should be 14. If your cycle length is 35 days, then it's 21. You can use an online ovulation calculator such as http://www.ovulation-calculator.org/ to find out the exact dates based on your period history.
