Ive just seen a one of the mums from school who said "you look like youve had enough" I said I have and then she went on to tell me her friend gave birth to twins this morning at 36 weeks, both babies weighing 5lb odd. She then went on to tell me she was about the size I am now!!!!! She also said she was about the same when she had her own twins a couple of years ago. They were a total weight off around 9lb. I still have 13 weeks to go, Im going to be the size of a manor house!! Anyone else getting told theyre big?

Was that your 'height of fundus', warpig?

Basically if you are 29cm and 29 weeks your bump is just right.

With my first I went up to 49cm at 34 weeks...lol!
This is me and mrwarpig, rofpmsl!!!

Seriously though, thats about the size of the bump, not the boobs though.
Yes pippa it must have been, thats sounds about right as am 28 weeks.

Bl00dy hell, 49 at 34 weeks, eeeek!

Well my bump is the right size then, I was measured by the midwife on Tuesday and it measured 27 weeks, and I am 27 weeks.
I was looking through my own photos as my boyfriend took on of me and the bump recently so my sister in America could see how it was going. Im in shock at how much bigger I seem to be already! lol

warpig, thats how I would measure if they were to measure my backside! Twice the size it was! lol
Well luckily it dropped a bit instead of getting higher..lol.
Gah! The lady in the photo looks like Alien is pushing out of her ribcage! :O( Horrible bikini too, looks like she's on her way to a body-building contest...lol

That, or I'm a tinsy wee bit jealous.....

Oh, and sorry to but in ladies, I'm just nosy! lol
I have no bum. I was hoping it might get a bit bigger but no, nothing, which explains why the maternity trousers I got look like sh*t and won't stay up. Just remember big bums are beautiful.
mas, ribcage, oh pants I didn't notice that, its defo not me then, I havent had a ribcage in years, well not one you could see anyhow.

lol Hi Max, yes she is skinny isnt she? Grrrr! lol Its the same as the models used in maternity clothing pics. Perfect size with the perfect bump! Big GRRRRRRRR!
warpig, I have the bum but my maternity stuff still falls down on me too! Im forever hoisting them up lol
Ive just dug out my pregnancy jeans that i wore last time around. Theyre a 12 and im now a 14 but i though theyd do again.

Anyway last time i wore then was at 42 weeks and i havnt changed the buttons on side. and guess what..... yes they fit and dont need taking in!!!!

arrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhh!

my fella kindly pointed out that Im a lot bigger this time!

I just hope my dungerees fit when the time comes :(
Morning redcrx, maybe you should try on the dungarees now just to be sure!
Question Author
lol I agree with warpig!

Morning ladies, red, I know its not much consolation, but Im glad Im not alone with being much bigger this time. Sorry if it doesnt make you feel better, but it does me :) lol
its ok psychick, I feel better knowing youre bigger too lol

But Im worried about h ow big i will actually get, im only halfway (not even that if i go to 42 weeks again)
From 6 months on with my son I was enormous,I looked full term and got really fed up of people asking "have you not had that baby yet" well obviously I hadn't because I was so huge. He only weighed 6lb 14oz when he was born 2 weeks late.
My friend was showing on her first at 8 weeks! She looked full term by 16 weeks but the growth seemed to slow down rapidly and she went a week over without being too uncomfortbale if that's any consolation. Her little girl was born at 7and a half lb and perfectly healthy and gorgeous. Maybe your little ones will slow down and even out the second half of the pregnancies!

I haven't been able to stop eating this week, from when I wake to when I sleep I am constantly grazing so I don't think it will be long before I balloon out too. My mum said that with me she was showing from the start and people thought she was having either twins or a baby elephant (charming), but with her second, my brother, she didn't show til 6 months and then he just arrived overnight! Pregnancies are so funny. I think judging by mum's experience I;ll be having a little boy, as her sister's experienced the same re showing with boys and girls too.
i showed from 14 weeks with first and about 8 weeks with this one.

My first was 9lbs 6.5ozs so Im starting to worry now lol
My twins weighed 6lbs 1oz and 6lbs 4oz at 38 weeks and i was very big but i was bigger with the next one who weighed 10lbs 4oz full term, and looked bigger still with the one after that who weighed 9lbs 10oz!
Jeepers jodie, you don't do things by half, 10lb 4oz, ouch!
Awww! Mahoosive babies run in my family, so I'm dreading it when it's my turn. Me, my brother and sister were all around the 10lb mark; I was 10lb 8oz. My brother was born with shovels for hands according to the doctor.

My mum and her twin brother both weighed just over 7lb each!
