Anyway to answer your question I had implanon fitted which is a contraceptive implant put into the arm. It lasts up to 3 years and I have found it brilliant, I had no periods at all but it can sometimes have the opposite effect and cause heavy periods so your wife could discuss it with her doctor. It makes me laugh that you are thinking of contraception already is your wife? (lol) Although saying that I had sex 3 weeks after my baby and was stupid enough to not use any contraception, fortunately I didn't fall pregnant quite so soon!
i would think that condoms would be your best bet as they don't involve chemically altering her body while she is still getting back to normal and/or breast feeding. We didn't use anything after my first as we knew we wanted more than one, we then ended up with 2 babies 13 months apart - that was the best contraceptive ever and we have no more children!!!
hi spaced, I think your wife wont be able to use anything other than condoms until she has had her 6 week check. She cant take the pill until the 21st day after given birth, all going well. I haven't tried anything else but I have heard that the marena coil is supposed to be really good and virtually stops menstruation as well if she is prone to heavy ones.
