prams / pushchairs
Im really trying to fight the urge to buy a new pram for new baby.
Little CRX will be 2 and 3/4 when its born and hes ok to walk most of time but occasionally when hes refused his nap will be too tired and just wants to doze in his pushchair.
So im toying with idea of another puchchair or a twin / tandem.
I want a lay flat part for baby obviously, i dont like to use car seat on frame.
Ive had an ultima M&P pram which is at my mums and will be used.
Ive lent out my Pliko so cant use that
Ive got a speedi but the carrycot looks tiny and its not flat enough to use without. That will fit a buggy board though.
Ive also got a zapp but thats not at all suitable for a newborn.
oh and recent purchase is a Hauk buggy but thats just a cheapy for when we are away for weekends really
so what are all you other mums to be getting, or can anyone else recommend anything.
I keep looking at the phil and teds at mo, but mr CRX would probably kill me if i say i want another pram

I also have a Quinny Buzz, had a M&P's Luna for about 3 weeks and I'm now down to a basic McLaren pushchair.
After searching through the doubles/twins, we've decided on a First Wheels city twin. (the red one) I like the fact that you can have a regular seat and a carrycot together.
(My name is Lore and I'm a pramoholic!!)

We only ever had one proper pram and a real cheapy thing for putting in the car for when they were a bit older - my two are 13 months apart and we had an emmaljunga husky with the toddler seat on the front. When the younger one was old enough to sit up, they would turns in the back depending on who was sleepy.
haha Lore, Im so glad its not just me.
I love the city wheels twin, but as i wont need it to be a twin for very much Its a bit wide when just the little one is it, but it does look lovely with the carrycot on.
will yours be 14 months apart then? thats nice in a way that they should grow up very close being of very near same age.
I think ethanryan was looking for info on the luna the other day, on the parenting section. perhaps you can help her?
annie, again those prams are lovely shall see if i can find one locally to take a look at, but think that it might just be too bulky.
Mr CRX has agreed that i can look at getting a new one if i sell the speedi :)

No Red, she'll be 21 months by the time the baby's due. - I'm starting to have second thoughts now - Ha!
She's been walking since 10 months old and is a pretty confident walker already, I'm just thinking of the 9 months I'm off work, Ava's nursery is a good 40 min walk away, this was my main reason for getting a double as I'd still like her to go to nursery on a part time basis whilst I'm off work. (only because she gets so much from it) I'm worried that it'll be too far a walk for her and I really don't like the idea of a buggy board.
omg HELP!!! aaaaaaaaaaarrrggghhhhh
needless to say, we're not buying anything that looks remotely like like a pram until the baby arrives. Maybe we'll have a better idea by then.

Lore, little CRX has also walked since 10 months and hes confident too but most weekends we are out and he just cant get through the whole day without wanting to be carried or get in pushchair.
I took a look at the phil and teds sport but the toddler seat was too low for him. The saleswoman was great though and has said the new phil abnd teds vibe is out soon and has a higher toddler seat. That way we could use it as a single most of time and just a double where needed. The resale value is high too. She'd just sold her 3 yr old E3 for 230 and a new one is only 300.
