I ordered follic acid tablets online, but when i received it, there is not any instruction about how to take it. does anyone know how many and when i should take it per day? x

thanks angel, i m hopeing to get pg. i just stopped pills from last week, but i read the pills instruction, it said i have to wait next period coming before i m trying to get pg, is it right?
so how long i need take the folic acid for?

mirela, I think you ought to make an appt to see your gp as you seem to have a lot of questions regarding getting pregnant and I think a visit to your gp would be of benefit, not that angel's advice is not correct or of any benefit, but because none of us are professionals on here and in all honestly I don't understand why you bought folic acid online when you can buy 56 tablets for less than �2 in Boots? You could have then asked the pharamcist in store any questions you had regarding FA.

Good luck with falling pregnant, but I really think it is important that you see your gp for advice hun X

i asked the doctor few weeks ago when i took smear test, she only told me to take some folic acid and she couldnt find any information in her office, then she just told me to check NHS' website to get information.
i was ordering ovulation test paper online and saw they sell folic acid as well, then just ordered together, didnt think that much:(((
ern, thanks for your advice, just im foreigner and dont have family here at all, so im not even familar with lots basic information over here yet, it took me ages to go surgery and register gp even. ...

To answer the original question you need to take 400micrograms per day (usually one tablet), and i don' t think it matters when - probably best at the same time every day
