Hi aims, you do still get your free prescriptions once you have sent off for the exemption certificate but I do believe it doesnt cover the folic acid. I had to buy mine myself but other stuff is covered such as gaviscon. Im glad that was covered because I went through gallons of it lol
folic acid is usually taken before conception and during the first 12 weeks. Its not often that youd get your exemption certificate back by then. Im 33 weeks and i havnt even got mine yet, although Ive got a nice bump to prove Im pregnant lol
I thought you didn't get your exemption certificate until you were about 16weeks? I have got mine, and have had it for ages. I filled the form as soon as I got it (my booking in appt) and the card arrived within about 2 weeks.

I think you qualify for free folic acid if you are on benefits?
hi natalie, Im not sure you get folic acid free on benefits, it was never mentioned to me anyway.
Psy, my sister in law is on benefits and she got some from her doctor, she's 14weeks now. She said she got it from doc and I assumed it was because she was on benefits but I didn't ask.
