If you take into account the hours of aches and blobbing and discomfort you had before heading for the hospital love , it was a long enough labour for you wasn't it ?
I hope you are now over the shock of nearly delivering in the car park ...lol...xxxxxx

Oh mamma, once it started the rest were niggles in comparisson lol
I cant belive how lucky i was. Id almost allowed Mr CRX to go to a huge fire at 10pm which wouldnt have seen him home til 8am.
I woke with a pain at 12.50, told him to stay in bed as i thought itd be ages. Luckily he fussed and gt up because they were 5 mins apart, called hospital and could hardly talk. They asked if i could travel 1hr 45mins to my own.
We left house at about 1.40 and i was contracting every 3 mins for a minute, got to Addenbrooks at 2.20 but couldnt find the Rosy maternity hosp. called then at 2.30 and they directed us in. Cont4ractions were constant. pulled up at 2.35 Mark went to park car as i was taken up in wheelchair. he got to room 2 mins after me just in time for my waters to break, me to shout i was pushing and babys head was out in 3 pushes. Midwife started to ask me to pull legs up to deliver shoulders in case they were stuck and then said 'oh dont wory baby is here' and she was put straight onto my tummy.
so official figures are.
established labour 1hr 40 mins, second stage 5 mins, 3rd stage 5mins
oh and no stitches either :)
jammy arent i lol xx

lol I said the same thing regarding the housebricks!
I never did make it to a maternity ward. Both were full so afterwards I was put on a labour ward! Theres me having just given birth and needed some rest, and Im spending the night with a room full of women in labour!! Needless to say, even when Holly was fast a kip, I wasnt!

Gosh how times have changed , thinking back to when I had my son , 23yrs ago , I got to the hospital with an hour to spare before he was born . After he was brought back to me had his first feed , after which he was taken to the nursery , he was small , I was taken to the post-natal ward .I had a private room , complete with lounge seating area . He was returned to me the next day and we had the room just together and stayed in a week . Aweek was the done thing then , gosh you get sent home sooooo early !
