Just wondered if any of you have used Bio oil and what your experiences are. I have some scarring on my legs that I hate and was wondering if Bio oil would help at all. Many thanks. daffi x
I have used Bio Oil daffi, the stuff is brilliant.!
I use it on scars from surgery and they are now flatter and more supple than they were,it has also helped with the stretch marks on my boobs that appeared during pregnancy, thankfully my boobs were the only place they did appear!!! lol. It also makes your skin really soft so in my opinion is well worth the cost, especially as you only need a tiny bit for a large area.It smells nice too.x
I got mine from Boots online but only because there isn't a Boots near me and I was buying lots of other stuff that made the postage costs worthwhile. I have found that it cost more or less the same wherever you buy it,the bigger bottles work out as better value though. I hope it works for you.x
I might try it on my stretch marks too. I don't have that many and they don't bother me but if I can fade them then I will! It is the scars on my legs that I really hate. I have just ordered a bottle, so I shall try it and see x
it does depend on how old the scars are. i have massive burn scar on my arm & chest which is 20 yrs old. nothing has ever made a blind bit of difference to e & have just had to learn to live with it, but for faily new ones it does work better than anything else
Daffi,my scars on my arms are 20 years old and it has improved them! so definitely give it a go,just because it hasn't worked well for muppeteer doesn't mean it won't work for your scars. I suppose size of scars could be an issue, the largest on my arm is 4inches long by about 2inches wide and that is much improved to what it was a year ago before I used Bio Oil.
I have to say that this stuff is amazing, not only on scars ( I used it on my caesarian scars) but also on uneven skin tones and on very dry skin. I'm currently slathering it on my "winter shins".
It's currently 8.95 in Boots.
I think what it does, is it softens the skin and gradually takes any redness away, but nothing actually gets rid of scars apart from surgery, such as a skin graft.
