WARNING! Might put you off your brekki!

With my last pregnancy I didn't have much of a show as I was induced in hosp, but I'm 37 weeks this week and was walking (waddling) around the house and felt 'something' come down! I wiped myself and have a creamy jelly type substance! It seems to be coming down in litte bits now and again!

Is this a 'show'? and also can it last for days/weeks or it this the start of something????

I did warn you 4get!!!! He He!

Curiosity did kill the cat you know! ;0)))
Hi andrea honey , it may well be as there are differences in what each woman experiences as a show. This may be promising , or it could be the first of nothing much. Keep an eye on it , and of it's consistency and amount , and if you have any tightenings you notice either different or more regular. Of-course if you want you can give your midwife this bit of news , it wont do any harm to let her know. xxxxx

Morning BM

Ye I'm seeing her today, but I didn't want to get my hopes up! Think I'll tell her about it and see what she says. Just getting all worked up now though as I really don't want a high BP and I'm at risk of it being high if I get nervous about it!
Awww sweetie , don' t get too nervous , you'll be ok , and , just think , this show is one step furthur to holding your little one :-) xxxxxx
Oooohhhhh!! It definitely sounds like some sort of a show, I had a jelly like stuff show when I was having my son. Try and stay calm, hun. Like bigmamma says, it is nothing to worry about, you are just getting a bit closer x

I think it's just that i was is hosp last time and everyone and everything was at hand 24/7! I feel a bit on my own now! My hubby is just getting excited about it, but fails to remember that I actually have to go through with it! Ahhhhh!

Calm down, calm down! ;0)
hi andrea.

i had the start of my show a couple of weeks before labour, then after sweep it was bloody and stringy, which stopped.

the afternoon before i went into labour it came back as bloody and stringy, a bit like egg whites.

sorry sis!!!

i never had it last time as i was induced at 42+3 so take it as a sign things are moving xx

4get LOL That has made me laugh!!!

Just for you * * * * 4 get * * * *

Red. I really do hope so, it's like it's my first time going through this and I've just realised how nervous I am! Silly I know! Even if it is slow start, it's still a start! And that has to be good, so fingers crossed! Hope bubs is ok?? ;0)
Hi Andrea, you sit and wait and see and I'll get excited for you instead? lol

I too was induced with my first so never had any signs of going into labour so the 2nd time was like I had never been through any of it before! I had a show on the Saturday and continued "leaking" (Im not sorry 4get :p lol) I had baby late on the Monday night so mine was 2 days before I had her. I called the midwife after the first show just to check and she did warn me baby could still be a couple of weeks away so try and remain calm for now lol

Can I nominate myself for being told the good news vis FB and passing on to the folks on here? lol

Psy,

Thanks, I'm trying to pace myself as I suspect it could be a bit longer knowing me and as I'm having a little girl, she's bound to be late! I'll send you a FB message in a bit, so look out for me! x x x x x x
Afraid to say knowing youre having a girl wont give you any clues lol As red has said, she first had a show 2 weeks before having her girl. I had one only 2 days before I had my girl. Whether its 2 weeks or 2 days though, you know its not going to be much longer :)

(Well it better not be as Im an impatient person lol)

Thing is, it could take up to anothe 4/5 weeks if I go really late as I am 37 weeks now! Not even worth thinking about!

You'll all be bored of me by then and telling me not to post until I have some 'real' news!!!! LOL

x x
lol 'being a girl shes boundto be late'

my son was 17 days late, Amelia was only 4 days late.

Mind you, at 9lbs 6ozs i think id have needed scaffolding to keep her in there any much longer :)

I can understand you feelings of being nervous., Induction means youre in hospital being cared for from word go and you dont have chance to think about it really.

But being at home is ok as you will be surrounded by comforts until youre ready to go in, youre not strapped to monitors and can move about more, which helps a lot.

xx
and no, we wont be bored of you posting with any twinge. I certainly did it during my last few weeks! Thats what we are all here for, to support if we can x
What red just said! Lol x
Andrea, youre more likely to get fed up of us asking if youve had the baby yet and telling you to get on with it lol
