whats the average healing time for an episiotomy? Mine was equal to a 2nd degree tear, but due to blood clots some of the external stitches burst, this bit has now almost healed but the internal part has become painful again and doesn't look as if it had healed before the stitched dissolved, at 5 1/2 weeks post natal I'm feeling worse than I did 2 weeks ago, but dunno if I'm just being a bit unrealistic expecting it all to better at this point!

ouch K8, sorry to hear things arent improving.

I would suggest that if they have got worse though that you see your GP or nurse and get checked out for infection.

hope it gets better soon x

saw GP today who examined me and said "ooh it looks a bit of a mess down there" - Very reassuring(!) anyway back on anti-biotics, 2 diff kinds, both very strong, hope they work this time, as this is the 4th and 5th course I've been on!!
ouch, that was hardly the best thing to say to you!

I wonder if there is anything you could perhaps put in bath water to aid the healing at all?

i hope it heals soon hun
