I was talking to a work colleague today who is having problems getting pregnant. She is going to start taking Clomid after Christmas and I didn't know what it was until I looked it up on the internet. It then got me thinking about my situation, because I am not ovulating I could have bought some there and then without seeing any medical staff. How is that legal? I wouldn't dare take it but if I'm honest a tiny part of me thought well it might work! Has anyone ever used it before?

i mean this in the nicest possible way tw, but you seem a trifle obsessed - just because you have decided you want a child dosent mean it will happen now. You only gave up contracepton 5 weeks ago, and as it was a long term one, it might take some time for the fertility to come back. This dosent mean there is something wrong. for example when i stopped the injection i didnt have a period for 5 months.
clomid can make it more likely to have multiple births, and yes it is illegal to sell medication on the internet, and you/your friend would be very foolish to use it without medical supervision

what if you took this drug without supervision, over stimulated your ovaries and ended up very ill and unable to EVER ovulate again.

Please dont take unprescribed drugs

you are right bednobs! I am very obsessed with becoming pregnant!! That is me all over, I decide to do something, have no patience and want it to happen yesterday! It probably sounds like it has taken over my life but honestly it hasn't although I do think about it an awful lot. Working in a baby room doesn't help! Also my work colleague is also trying too so we constantly talk about it. It just worries me a little that I'm not ovulating and my normal fertility (whatever that is) should have resumed as soon as the implanon was taken out its apparently not like the pill where it takes a while to get out of your system.
Red, I wouldn't really dare take the Clomid but it just got me thinking it sounded easy! My friend will be monitored taking it as well so no worries there, she has had problems for a while now.
Can you imagine what I will be like when I am pregnant? I will be posting on here everyday about every little ailment!! Sorry for going on this is just a way of letting it all out to people who I don't know and who don't know me!!

its legal because other countries do not have the same strict reglations and law that we do, i can see our goverment cracking down on mail order prescription only drugs soon though.
i'm not a woman or a pharmacist, all i know if bodybuilders take clomid to help restore their testosterone after a course of anabolic steroids but can result in heavy dpressive mood swings and can cause permanant eye defects, they also use hcg which is a fertility drug.
if i was you i would never take any drug without consulting a doctor.

lol tigwig, it's nice to be excited - its just that you then set yourself up to be disappointed each month, especially if your friends are getting pregnant.. things happen for a reason, and if you are not pregnant yet (again, only 5 weeks - in that time you would only have had a 1-2 day period when you could get pregnant) then there is probably a good reason
