my baby is ten weeks old and i am breastfeeding him,i haven't yet had a period,is this normal?also is there less chance of pregnancy if you're breastfeeding,thanks.

Plus you could still fall pregnant, you may not get a period if you fall the first time you ovulate so dont rely on it as a method of contraception, many mums have fallen thinking they cant because of feeding.

For goodness sake don't let anyone persuade you that breastfeeding is some form of contraception! When I had my daughter 35 years ago and enquired about contraception my GP said that since I was breastfeeding it was unlikely I would conceive as he was unwilling to prescribe the pill which was still relatively new up here. 13 months later my son was born.............!
