Abortion..Whens enough..enough!

My rather selfish 'friend' has had 4 abortions and shes only 25! When does the doctor say enough is enough? Or are your choices unlimitied and you could continue to have more and more? Im quite sick of it really!

I dont think they do and some just use it as a form of contraception sometimes. I;m sorry to say but your friend should be sterilized. Yer people make mistakes but come on 4?? did she not learn after 2?

I'd be equally disgusted at anyone who sees abortion as a form of birth control. Is that what she's doing? I've seen my own daughter broken hearted at losing twin boys at 21 weeks, through no fault of her own. The thought that women would willingly 'get rid' of babies appalls me. But then again, what's the alternative in the case of your friend? To have a baby which would be unwanted?

Has she thought of maybe long term birth control?

oh i completly agree 4get! She claims she doesn use protection and she genuinly seems so upset last time and now im sure shes doing it again (no4) i agree she'd make an unfit mother i mean you can see what time of person she is! But i cant stand by her anymore!

Well thats the thing they are not all recent - the 1st was about 4 years ago with a long term bf then the next was who she has been on and off with since - her reasons - she'd be a single mother - she'd have no job and nowhere to live etc! Im the result of a 14 year old so im a bit biast to these excuses!

So many abortions will eventually have a negative impact on her body. At the very least-she is being both foolish and unaware of the consequences.

They say three but really they aren't going to stop giving them to her if she wants them, an abortion is much better than an unwanted poorly looked after child. Maybe she wasn't on the injection before and they pushed her into having it while she was out for the count this time round. Its not often you could get past the three mark without them trying to stick you with an implant, coil or injection.

If this is really upsetting you and more than likely her also, convince her to get an implant before her injection runs out and then maybe get her to work on getting some self respect and learning how to say no.

totally agree that an abortion is much better than a child being neglected but she shouldnt get pragnant in first place.

I know! She doesnt seem to listen or ever learn! There is nothing more i can do! Im currently having tests to see if im going to have problems getting pregnant! And if i find out i will ill find it hard to keep our relationship the same! knowing shes aborted 4 babies that i cant even have!

Well nothings confirmed yet - but ive not had a period in a very long time - ive had blood tests which show some concern and Im having a scan soon to see if i have pcos or worse!

I could never, and would never, have an abortion, but take the case of a woman i know, who's 15 year old daughter has THREE children - and yes, you read that correctly. In certain circumstances, a very early termination might be best for some people, but it's one of those subjects which could be discussed forever, as everyone has their own opinion. As for your friend, lubecki, I don't consider it a doctor's job to say whether she should have any more abortions or not, but he should be warning her about the long-term damage she may be doing herself.

i have very mixed views on abortion, mainly the time imit on it! as i think most people would agree up to the 24th week it just silly ( dont get me started) i do understand people use this in desparate needs but from experience doesnt your friend feel any remorse? i dont mean to sound patronising but i personally find it very traumatic to go through just once, and there is always feelings of guilt and regret which NEVER goes away, do u think she is just using this as a form of contraception? i think maybe u should talk to her about using the pill or injection??
