For various reasons we had to delay trying for a 2nd child. Now, after trying for more than a year, the doc has agreed to some tests. We started trying just after my 39th birthday and now 14 months later I am feeling really dejected about it. My blood tests showed no initial problems. We fell straight away with our first. Can anyone offer me some hope, that it can take this long? I feel so blessed to have had one child, especially now, but desperately want him to have a brother or sister.

I may be stating something that you have allready done...but anyway...Have you bought a ovulation kit..You are only ready to catch for about 72 hours per month. There is no real point doing it any other time. (when on a mission)

Hello, No I haven't bought any because I am one of these people that gets very strong ovulation symptoms anyway. I get a lot of pain, and always know which ovary my egg is coming from. I also get other aymptoms 2 or 3 days before I get the egg pain too. I have always been proved right, my cycle is 28 days long but the odd occasion it has been longer I have always known beforehand as I have ovulated later than usual too.
