hi shivvy.
by "childless" do you mean you are unable to conceive, or are trying to conceive or chld free by choice?

there are many forums out there but its finding the right one.

Thanks redcrx. Childless because partner doesn't want children.
oh shivvy.
do you want children? its very difficult to change your own wishes if you do. I should know, ive been there.

Question Author
Not keen on discussing anything on here redcrx as there are too many people who are too quick to make thoughtless and/or cheap comments. Would love to find a forum though.
ive found this one, though it might not be right for you

Unfortunately not but thanks anyhow redcrx
You have choice even if he doesnt want children. xx
Question Author
not too sure what you mean 4get.
sorry that didnt help. as i said, without really knowing what issues its hard to find the right thing.

if neither of you want children then there are "child free by choice" boards.

if you have problems conceiving there are "trying to conceive" boards

but there are no boards for "my partner doesnt want children"

sorry

Thanks so much for trying redcrx. I have not been able to find one either unfortunately. I really do appreciate you trying to help though.
Hi shivvy, sorry to hear of your situation.

I don't know if this link will be what you're looking for but might be worth a read just the same.
They have a forum too so you could always start up a new thread in the marriage and relationships section to see if there are any other people currently in a similar situation.

hope it all works out for you.

That looks interesting Lore - thanks so much.
You're welcome. :) hope it gives you some answers.
i think what 4get was trying to say that if you were wanting children and he wasnt then its not always the end of the world.

I was married, my hubby always said he'd want kids eventually, but i reached almost 30 when he decided that he didnt want kids. Along with other things it was a reason for our split.

2 years on i met a lovely man, he'd split from his wife following 3 years of trying to conceive, she blamed him and walked out on him. now 4 years later, we have 2 beautiful kids and are both very happy.

Family members told me i was silly o split from my hubby as i may have found i couldnt have kids with anyone else. But even if i wasnt physically able i would have opportunities to be a parent with the right partner.

good luck, i hope you and he can resolve this
