Try not to be scared though, enjoy the pregnancy (and the sleep while you can :o) )

Yo ucan go and see the doc whenever you want, he/she will wotk out your due date and get you entered into the system for scans etc.

hi kr2, you need to see your doctor who will start the ball rolling arranging your pre-natal care no need to wait.

Awww congratulations. I phoned my doctor as soon as I found out (about 5weeksI think) and I think my appt was that week. Your GP might get you to do another test while you are there, although mine didn't. She will give you an NHS pregnancy book and make an appt with your midwife and a 12week scan at the hospital. Those 6 weeks in between your GP appt and your scan feel like a lifetime, but once you have the ok from the scan then you begin all of your midwife appts and get your blue notes file, etc. This process might differ area to area, but that is how it happened with me! good luck xx

call your doctors surgery as many GPs wont want to see you. You may just need to give details and wait to see a midwife for booking in at about 8 weeks.

start taking folic acid if youre not already and avoid alcohol, smoking and all the dodgy foods (uncooked shelffish, raw eggs etc)

I saw my doctor within a day of my positive test, as I was in total disbelief. I had my first scan 3 weeks later at 7 weeks and last week had my 12 week Nuchal. It does take a bit of getting used to and hope all goes well

I wonder how many of us on here are pregnant. Anyone care to do a poll?

Hi Everyone!

I went to the docs last week who confirmed I'm definately pregnant :o) 5 weeks. We'be had to bring our wedding forward as we would of been getting married on my due date! Trying not to get stressed re-organizing a church wedding with Marquee in April 09 now!

Did any one spot through their 6Th week? Is it normal for my belly to ache slighly sometimes during the day? x
