Unfortunately it felt quite uncomfortable for a few weeks I'm afraid. Really loose trousers is all I can suggest but I have seen advice to put a sanitary towel over the scar to stop it rubbing on your clothes.

I had 3 sections and I was the same as you after every one. Feebal is right about the sanitary towel over your scar. That was a tip my 1st midwife gave to me- along with the big pants and loose trousers. I bought one of those v shaped pillows and had it wherever I was in the house. You can put it into any position to make you comfy and I even used to put it around me at one side when I sat and fed the babies as half of it was behind me supporting my back and half of it was underneath the baby protecting my tummy. It will get better- congratulations by the way.
thanx for all advice :) how long did it take for you all to be up and about? i mean i go for sunday lunch at my partners parents and do a little lite food shopping which sometimes make me more uncomfortable but i cant wait to go for walks in the day ect .. iv been told im doin to much by just goin to asda and for sunday lunch but surely im not sposed to do nothing at all am i?
Hi carlie.
I must be really lucky, I had my section about a week after you and I cant even feel it anymore to be honest. I didn't have any stitches in mine though, they're all apparently on the inside! (I've no idea how)
I've been up and about walking, shopping (introducing Iris to pub lunches!) etc since 1 week after the op. Although my husband wont let me push the pram or carry anything.
Is your midwife still visiting and checking your wound? Maybe they can up your painkillers? I had paracetamol 4 times a day and diclofenac 3 times for the 1st week or so. I think there are stronger ones than that though. Hope you're feeling better soon and hope the little ones doing well. x

I just think you have to judge for yourself how you're feeling. I was worse with my 1st as regards to getting up and about-it seemed to take me a lot longer than with my other 2. Mind you having other kids is one sure way of not resting for too long. I knew when I'd pushed myself too much as I'd suffer after and my tummy would feel a bit twingey(?). How long ago did you have your baby? I think little and often-It is better if you can walk about a bit etc as you seem to feel better faster. But try not to do half-marathons LOL. If you're feeling uncomfortable after going shopping then don't do much more than that. Look after yourself as well as your littl'un. There's no rush is there? :) x
