Anti climb paint! Can I use it legally (or not!)

We have a big trampoline next to our house on the land that we own behind our garage (not our garden). This area is protected by a security coded gate but the trampoline is next to a wall so recently a group of young teenagers have started using it without our permission. They are climbing over the wall then unlocking the gate from the other side to let the rest of the gang in and a dog! I wouldn't object so much if they appeared to be nice kids but they move our dustbins completely and all the neighbours so the dog can't run around the path, they all have shoes on and jump on it 3 or 4 at a time and leave cigerette boxes on the floor and have even burnt holes in the trampoline deliberately whilst smoking them!
Tonight my hubby went out and told them to get off so they did but not before shouting he was 'white b*stard'! If they couldn't get over the wall they wouldn't be able to do this as they can't know the code for the gate. Can I put this paint on the wall to prevent them coming again or could it get me in trouble if it stained their clothes or something? Any other ideas for getting rid of them would be most welcome too!

Or you could padlock the gate so they can't open it even from the inside and put the paint on the inside of the wall... they can get in then.. but not out without getting seriously messy. may as well have a laugh at their expense :)

Can't padlock the gate as its not just for us, the neighbours have to use it for access as well. As for the warning signs are they a legal requirement? A website I looked at only said they 'should' be put up not that they had to.
If anyone else actually has another sensible answer I would be grateful.

Do as chuck said, put up a warning sign( take a photo with a date as proof the sign was there incase the yobs remove it.) and put a padlock on the gate but give your neighbours a key.

The red warning paragraph on the website Chuck linked you to is important. You need to assume there will be complaints - possibly to the police - if any of them dirty their hands or clothes! You must put up prominent warning signs. Also, do these people come after dark? If so, they will probably complain they couldn't see the signs so you need to consider whether to add a security light as well.

Can you raise the height of the wall so they can't get over it?

The law isn't very clear but basicaly as long as the wall is at least 2m above the access height and you clearly signpost that anti-climb paint has been used you can paint it on.
