If it were me, would cut out alcohol totally for the whole duration of pregnancy. Not worth risking that precious developing bundle whilst in womb with a single drop of alcohol. Yet, would not worry until definitely find out you are pregnant. Drink very very little alcohol, sometimes a whole month goes by and not had one glass of anything alcoholic- would find cutting down the caffeine far far harder as adore my cups of tea!!Good luck!

I think drinking whilst your trying to make a baby will create a bit of a mess, all that jiggling and moving about, you're bound to spill it!
Oh ok...seriously....
If you're not a heavy drinker, and only have the odd glass of wine with meals etc, I see no reason why you need to stop. Afterall, your life pretty much grinds to a halt when baby comes along anyway, so you might as well enjoy it while you can!

I will give you a serious answer now! Carry on drinking until you find out you are pregnant (as long as you are not a complete alcoholic) It will do no harm and could take you ages to conceive anyway. Even when you do find out, apparently the alcohol doesn't go to the baby until at least 6 weeks gone I was told. Definitely the odd glass of wine would do no harm. Its people who drink heavily throughout pregnancy that put their babies at risk. You have nothing to worry about. Have fun trying!! If its possible to and try not to become obsessed like I did, it ruins everything!
