Hi Folks. I'm looking for a bit af advice. The first day of my last period was 14 April. I did a home test on Saturday and it was positive. I started bleeding bright red fresh blood on Monday night, went to A&E on advice of the hospital. Had a scan yesterday morning and had bloods taken. The scan was inconclusive. When I got my blood results today they were 640. The bleeding stopped by Tuesday morning. I'm being scanned and more bloods done tomorrow. This is my 5th pregnancy (1 child, 2 miscarriages and an ectopic). Is 640 low and by how much should they increase by in 48 hours?

you are currently 5+ weeks so a figure of 640 isnt low.

the blood test in 2 days would ideally show a figure of roughly double that.

this may help give you an idea http://www.mums.me.uk/docs/BHCG.pdf

Thanks for you answer redcrx. That link is very useful and as you say 640 doesn't seem to be low. All I can do is take all the advice I can and hope for the best.

Just to let you know, I went for another scan today which confirmed an ectopic pregnancy. To say me and hubby are devastated is an understatement. I've had the injection and follow up appointment is Monday.
