I took two pregnancy tests the day after my period was due and they were positive. They were the new Clear Blue digital with conception indicator and they indicated 1-2 weeks since conception which would be about right. Then the day after I took another and it was negative and have done four since and all negative. Now 4 days after the positive tests I am bleeding. Am I pregnant? What is going on? Still feel really nauseous and need to pee.

Hi,

I went to my local A&E department this morning and they said that it may just be a heavy late period but it doesn't feel, look or smell (sorry TMI) like a period. I am trying to take it easy like they said and see how it goes. Hopefully it will stop soon. I have seen on some websites that a lot of people have bleeding throughout and it may be a hormonal imbalance. But I guess I just have to play the waiting game on this one.

it would be xtremely unusual to have 2 positive pregnancy tests if you are indeed not pregnant. If your loss is heavy like a period it may suggest that the pregnancy has ended. however if its just slight spotting it could be the implantaion of the embryo???? im no doctor but i suppose it would be a case of wait and see. good luck xxx
Yes sorry, but it could be your pregnancy has ended and you've miscarried, but I would have imagined the pregnancy hormone would remain in your system for a while.

You should probably have a scan to see if there is a sack with Embryo, but saying that, if you're under 7 weeks pregnant, nothing will show. Make an appointment at least with your GP.

All the best
Sadly I agree with Velvetee. This is called a chemical pregnancy. It occurs when you were pregnant and sadly it wasn't meant to be. It is apparently very very common and the reason why to save heartache it is best to test when you are at least a week late. It happens to many people who don't even realise they were pregnant as at this stage you would just have a period as normal.
Hormones do often stay in the body for a little while after just to keep on fooling you.
You are supposed to be extra fertile the next month though so don't give up hope.

Thanks...but I would have though that if i was miscarrying there would be clotting?? It's just fresh red blood???

Really confused
it could be that because you were so early on into the pregnancy thats why your not clotting? do another test in a week or so or if your really concerned go back to the doctors xxx
