when you were having contractions?

Mine is snoring in bed, whilst I'm having them every 10 minutes and having to count them all myself too.

I'm sorry lovey but I wasn't able to have kids. In all the films I've ever watched (old ones of course) they just boil lots of water and get clean towels, so I'll do that for you.

Seriously, scream very loudly and wake him up!
Where have you gone. You're getting me worried. Deep breathing I hope. Come on Velvetee, talk to me.
Vv....like most men; dont expect too much from him till your babe is quite a bit older.

Wake him up to run you to hospital.....then will be the start of his celebrations with his mates congrats etc. You? Well, just suffer for now - like most women. You will be so full of admiration & love for your new man you wont care.

Michael would be a lovely name?

he he he

mine sat reading a magazine. Having said that I sat eating wine gums and reading a book as my epidural kicked in.

good luck
Hope all is going well Velvetee.
when having my son 8 years ago my then partner was sat in the corner of the delivery suite pouting eating chocolate because i went nuts on him for useing the gas and air, he really got on my nerves and we didnt speak for about 6 hours.
my partner now though was like yours......sleeping, although i cant blame him as he had just got in from doing a 12 hour night shift!
Your partner remaining in bed is probably for the best at the moment because he will probably just irritate you at the moment, men just dont know what to do in this situation, bless them lol. How exciting velvet, baby on his way, good luck and i hope you have a speedy recovery xxxx
Mine was in the kitchen having a beer with his mate. I called him when I needed him and he took me to hospital. Every 10 minutes is nothing because I was having them for a week before me son was born.

It's every 2 minutes you should worry about.
for the weeks that i had them every 5 mins he carried on as normal.

when i got them with second, he got up immediately (luckily cs Id told him to stay in bed), called his sis to babysit, and rushed me to maternity. Good job really as baby was born with minutes to spare.

Hope alls going well! x
Hope you've had him by now!

My partner refused to come home from work because his colleagues were all telling him that it would be a false alarm!! So I was on AB talking to Red and a few others! Then when he finally did come home, he watched dances with wolves, had a shower and basically faffed around not doing as he was told. He was great at the hosp tho....apart from eating biscuits in front of me while I was nil-by-mouth! oh and telling everyone how tired HE was, after I'd had baby bailey.......men lol!
lol k8 i think they all do the tired thing.
Mr CRX climbed onto my bed because his back ached and let me sit in the horrid chair not feeling to comfy down below!
I was with my wife (but I had to force the doctors/nurse to let me).
This was back in 1950 and 1952,when men just WEREN'T allowed in for the birth.
They let me in when they couldn't understand what Elsie was saying, her English was still bad then, and she had a heavy accent still! LOL
I wanted to be there though and was for the next 2,but by the Elsie could tell them herself.
Pity it has changed.
No1...she went to hospital......I went back to the flat.

No2 ..tried to get some sleep as I had an exam next day, but bleedin midwife asked me to help.

No 3.....can't remember.

No 4....went back to work.

It was her that was having the baby..........not me!
Mine was fast asleep both times as my contractions started in the middle of the night!

First time I had to wake him and he said to me
"Do you have to go now???!!!!
I was like
"Yes, baby's coming"
He was in a restaurant having a meal, which was very wise as she took seven hours to venture out.
Hi Velvetee

I thought you'd go tonight! Same as me, sweep on the monday, booked for an induction fri and went on my own the thursday night and in aswer to your question he sat and looked bewilldered for most of it! Hope u don't get the 29 hour labour and forcepts like i did !!!

GOOD LUCK :-)
First time mine was the midwife said this will happen and the midwife said that

in the end I was yelling the midwife isn't bludy here and I'm saying

The second time I rng my next door neighbour to come and get my elder son when she arrived at the door he woke up and said something like I hope your waters don't break in the car

But he was good during the delivery even if he did send out text saying mum and baby well but dad yet to recover!!!
