Just to give you a background, I came off the pill in January with view to conceiving as and when. I didnt have a period until May, and then nothing until August. Technically, I am currently 2 weeks late based on my August date but the cycle obviously hasnt regulated. Anyway.....
Last week, I started feeling very light-headed and dizzy, to the point where I had blurred vision. After a few days, I went to the doc, who asked all the usual questions, but said it was possibly too early to get a positive result. So she gave me some tablets but they havent really helped. In the last 2 days, feelings have turned nauseous, especially this morning - and its not because of any smells or food, its just there! Im eating ok, drinking plenty, but I am sleeping a lot. I keep reading about symptoms of pregnancy but I just dont know!! Any advice from 'real people' grateful as a lot of websites ramble on about how it 'should' be!!
thanks in advance

I found the tiredness set in a little later, not straight away. I'm suprpised doc gave you tablets if he thought you were pregnant? Also signs of anaemia, could you be low on iron? Also there is a bug going round that I have at the mo, feeling nauseous, more so in the morning, feeling dizzy and tired, feeling hungover really (minus the alcohol).
I think you can get early pregnancy tests now.
good luck x
Have you actually taken a test?

i took one early last week, hence the doc telling me it was too early. and now, well im too scared to. i WANT to be pregnant, am scared i'll be disappointed if i get another negative.
the nausea and overtiredness would normally start (if they are going to, not all women have those) at about 6-10 weeks pregnant, so i would expect that the HCG levels at that point ok for showing on a test.

They can also be signs of other things, not pregnancy related, so really you will only know if you take a test and repeat tests (if negative) until either a positive or your period show up.

ive calculated i would be 6 weeks at the mo. i shall get a test over the weekend, keep your fingers crossed for me
when you are desperate to be pregnant your body can play tricks on you, or you can be ovely sensitive, if you are overdue your period, take the test!, it will put your mind at rest.
