pregnancy test

Right before redcrx gets excited this is not me whos doing any test its my mate. Basically about 2 weeks ago she did not just one but 9 tests and all came out positive. She then had doc last Friday and he did a test but it was only a very faint line so he said they cant be sure she is pregnant and to come back wednesday. Well she went back yesterday and again a very faint line. They have done a blood test and she will get results next week. Whats chances of her having miscarried as if she had then surely there wouldnt still be a very faint line.

for a while, yes, the levels would reduce though.

How far does she think she is?

well she has just said no bleeding since 4th sep and its showing HCG in her urine. So why did he do a test?

to see if the HCG level is what it would be expected to be at 6 weeks gestation. They would normally take another test and then see if the HCG level increases as it should

ummmm I would have thought she goes to same docs as me. non of my mates have ever had a test at docs. I really hope she still is. I guess only the blood test will tell. I just have no idea why he would have tested her

perhaps she made appt without telling them what it was for and GP decided to test urine again.

with a faint line and a LMP of 6th sept GP probably being cautious

end of last period was 4th September. Normal period

so shes 7-8 weeks pregnant if end of LMP was 4th.

So i think GP will be wanting to make sure due to faint lines, especially as your friend says all have been faint.

low figures and faint lines dont mean the worse. As long as HCG levels are increasing then all should be well.

also some GP tests arent as sensitive as many of the new ones in chemists.

Right....no bleeding since 4th sept.......9 +blood tests, a couple of late faint blue lines, my money goes on that she is pregnant..

A miscarriage without vaginal bleeding? Not impossible, but highly unlikely.
