Came off pill on 3rd Feb, had period up until the 10thish, counted more than 21 days since then - been on pill for 20 odd years, my questions are;
Can being on the pill for this long muck up my cycle, and how long can this happen for? ie, could it take a couple of months to get a "proper" period, as I am well aware they may not be regular for quite some time, but didn't think I would have to wait this long before getting one (even a trace)?
and...
With this in mind, would it be worth me doing a preg test now, even though my preiod may arrive late due to the question above - and is there a chance the result may be "inconclusive" due to being on the pill for so long?
Really just need advice on being on the pill for so long, and falling pregnant almost immediately I guess that's what I am trying to say - am trying not to build my hopes up too much, as I realise that being on the pill can mess things up while everything falls back into place as it were...
TIA

depends what your normal cycle is. I think average is 28 days, therefore if you started your last one on the 3rd Feb then its not due again until tomorrow.
The pill can mess up you periods and youve been on it quite some time.
I wouldnt try for a baby until youve had a least one normal cycle.
but if your period hasnt arrived in a week then do a test
I came off the pill in July and not really had a proper period since (been on it around 20 years). Since July I have had a few occasions when I have felt period pain but no period and only had a couple of days with some bleeding here and there. I am not trying for a baby so situation different than yours but doc told me nothing to worry about and to be honest I am quite happy for period to stay away. Good luck x
It's probably best to do a test just in case. I came off the pill after a good few years, and was told it would take months to settle down but fell pregant 14 days after i stopped taking it, which was a bit of a shock!
