ghb with intent whats the sentence

my husband has been charged with gbh with intent for the accack on me he left me with to blackeyes lumps in my head, bruising all over my face. neck, shoulders,mostly all my body, he dislocated my arm, fractured my breast bone, broke afew of my ribs also he kicked me that hard he tore my womb n made a hole in it where gas was leaking from it what showed up on the ct scan also bleeding from below because the kick was so hard i had to stay in hospital for 2 day whist i had to go through xrays ct scans internal examinations i was on a drip as my heart was to fast and they needed it to stop beating so fast that was nearly 3 weeks ago and i am still on morphine now for the pain ansleeping tablets to try and sleep as i cant seem to that at the minute as his attack is still affecting me. he is nxt due back in court on 10th sept when he does go is he likkely to get a prison sentence for what he has done and if so how llong and whould i be able to claim compensation and if so how much n would i do that through courts or an injury lawyer? i would be grateful to any answers to my questions thank you ,

Just for starters can you confirm whether your husband is currently remanded in custody pending court in Sept or is he out on bail. Also do you know whether he has entered any plea to the serious offence.

hes on bail at the min with a restaining order on him hes denying doing any thing at all to me has told the police i feel in the bath! he was remanded for to days from wen he got arrested till he went to court on the monday but was orginally charged with abh but when he went to court but because i was in hospital the judge ajurned it till 7th of june because the cps wanted the notes from ospital to make sure they were charging him with the right one he went on monday and have moved it to the crown court as its to serious for the magistraes n charged him with the section 18 gbh with intent.

Under S18 he could get anything up to life imprisonment, I think

i havent a clue he has never ddone anything like thiis before to me nn it was a shock for every 1. we ha d been out watching football with my mum and dad having a gud time and for no reason snapped n walked out n its nt like he was drunk cause he only had a few pints i went home after him n he did that i never even thought he was capable of anything like that i never saw any signs of it as i should no i lived with a violent partner for 8 years and choose to be on my own 3 years before starting another relationship with who is my husband now its just been a horrible shocked becuse i loved him so much n cant believe hes done it but i could never take him back after this it has destoyed me so now my baby is left with out a dad n i dnt have the husband i thought i new

n the best thing about it is that is story has changed now from me fallin in the bath which just wasnt fesable at all hes saying i fell dwn stairs nw which mite sound abit more believeable bt on top of that hes goin all over his home town askin people do these hands look like theyve been hitting any 1?!!! After 8 years of marriage he viciously attacks you out of the blue. I hope he goes down for what he's done, don't get me wrong, but violent men don't usually snap after 8 years. The amount of damage he's done is like he's mentally snapped. There's usually something behind that. Drugs, like Joe said...debts, gambling problem or something.

It's just unusual....

no i meant ad bin with my previous ex for 8 years who was violent from the start n then i met my husband who has never shown any ov them trates like my ex then just does that out the blue. n theres no debt gambling or drugs or anythin cause i was inconrol ov all the money cause he was useless nowt wud ov gt payed if i didnt

never because i had a premature baby in december n looked after him in hospital for ten weeks n then ia looked after him since n i never go out only if its with him its him who use to go out every week n on lad holodays n i never wud cheat i married him to stay with him for rest of my life thats what i thought anyway
