Pure orange juice diluted 50/50 you cant do better.

jem
if he will drink water then why bother with baby juice / squash?

as jem says, real fruit juice will be better than sugar filled stuff though you may want to experiment with strength as orange juice can go through them like a dose of salts!
Pure apple juice is good for little ones. x
When my middle daughter was a baby she preferred herbal juices such as camomile (sp). I think they were by Milupa, i'm not sure you can buy them any more though... it was 20 years ago. lol
It probably does have less sugar but it will have aspartame which is not very good for you...
Mine preferred just water till she was at least 2, which suited me just fine!
I undestand that you shouldn't give babies any kind of juice, esp not from bottles or sippy cups as it stays in their mouths, particularly bad once they have teeth.
I was still breast feeding at that age so mine used me for drinks. After I stopped feeding I gave them semi skimmed/skimmed milk or water as a drink.
I am a firm belieer that normal squash is terrible for young children.Probably until they hit 3 at the earliest, In children sensitive to it it causes the worst constipation. I'll never forget the nightmares with my youngest, when I found out it was because after stopping breastfeeding at the age of two I switched to squash to top his thirst up.
Good....could that not have been because breast milk has it's own laxative?
No, Ummm squash and normal milk can both cause constipation, it sort of makes the poo go like sand and the size of a brick.
Best to check contents on fruit juice labels & compare them with recommended baby fruit juice.
Hi mine all had normal diluting juice after i spoke to my dentist when the eldest was little, he said there was more sugar and syrup in the baby juices than the normal juice, That was 20 years ago and 4 more kids later, all have great teeth, no fillings.
