I have cystic fibrosis and have been trying for a baby for 3 and a half years. I have been told that I needs to gain at least a stone to carry a baby safeley. Been trying but it seems to be one step forward and two steps back for her. because of the cf and my partners age my chances of a pregnancy go down quite a bit. has anyone met with any similar problems at all? i'd make such a wonderful mum it doesn't seem at all fair that this is happening to me. the weight is a primary problem at the moment so any and all productive ideas would be appreciated

sounds like you need advice about nutrition first and foremost
You asked the same question last Friday.
Can the CF Trust provide any dietary advice?

I have asked question again squad to try get other replys cause my dietician advice failed and i actually lost a futher stone from help in the hospital, i seem to do better on my own but still not falling pregnant and dunno why.
there are probably a few reasons
firstly, you have already said you need to be a stone heavier to safely carry a baby - this is probably the biggest reason you haven't got pregnant - if you can't carry a baby safely then your body isn't allowing you to get preg.
Also, am i right in thinking that CF itself can cause difficulty in conceiving?

do u think my bed can stop me from falling pregnant cause a stone to light?? Yeah in some cases cf can and my partners age has reduced it abit more too i think

can my body stop me really??
Im one of 4 kids, my mum rarely weighed more than 8st, even when pregnant.

But you have already asked this and got replies, as "olive". why the need to ask again? Also your consultant or whoever you see for your CF, they will have all your details and history to hand and be able to advise
And are you sure your partner isn't a carrier of CF else your child will have 50/50 chance of having it and if not, it'll at least be a carrier. And yes CF makes it harder to concieve as your sticky mucus blocks your ducts.
