Can anyone answer these Tachograph questions?
4 Answers
As most of you know I am still looking for a job, having been out of work for over 2 monthsn now. I may have been offered a job with a haulage firm, but having been driving buses for over 6 years I do not have any experience of Tachographs. Can one of you lorry drivers among you answer the following questions about Tachos? Can you also provide a link of a completed Tachograph chart as well, possibly a link to Tiny.Pic?
Can you reduce your daily rest? If so by how much, and what is the required daily rest?
How many hours can you drive in any one fortnight?
How long can you drive for before you need a rest break?
How long is your break, and how can it be made up?
If you drove for 10 hours in any day, how would your breaks be made up?
What should you do when some of your driving is carried out off road? I.e. in a Quarry or on site?
I know the answer to some of these, but would really appreciate some help on this one.
Thanks as usual for any helpful replies.

Unless the haulage company is using quite old vehicles (still fitted with analogue tachographs) you shouldn't need to complete a tachograph chart. If the company's vehicles are fitted with digital tachographs, which were introduced in 2005, you need your own 'smart card':
