Unusual Maze (or something!)

Ages ago someone on this site mentioned a family day out at an attraction where there was some sort of maze but it had surprises in it. Remember looking at the website which didn't give much away as it was expected that people would want to explore things for themselves at this place. Any help of where it could be or what it was called from my very vague clues would be much appreciated!

Where? there is one in Jersey
Question Author
I can't remember that even! Don't think it was Jersey though, pretty sure it was mainland!
I remember that too Sophie cos I had a wee look myself - was it somthing to do with a folly or something? I've had a wee google but no joy yet. Something tells me that Sherrardk might have posted about that or been on the thread, but maybe not. Can't even remember when it was, but it was a good few months back.
Question Author
I searched for ages and couldn't find anything, is very annoying! Can only go back three pages in 'Family' for some reason (think it was posted in family) so can't even find it here! Will search for folly things!

Found it! The Forbidden Corner http://www.theforbiddencorner.co.uk/
Hi all - don't know where in the country you are but the Pitt Rivers Museum on Oxford is good is good if you like odd stuff http://www.prm.ox.ac.uk/index.html (and it's free).
Question Author
ooh that does look interesting, bit of a trek but might be worth it for a day out! Was it you that posted about the Forbidden Corner Sherrard? Would like to know if there's one in the midlands?
Not me I'm afraid although I do remember reading something about it on here. I wouldn't go all the way to Oxford to go to the museum but we went there a couple of times when we lived in Aylesbury.

Aww used to go there when I was little jenna, loved it!
I think its for anyone really! Both young and older children will enjoy it. You just make your way around, not in any order and end up going underground through tunnels and opening lots of doors etc. Its indoors and outdoors and very hard to imagine what its like really but you really should try it. You have to book in advance.
Question Author
OK, ta; it looks like something me and my mum would enjoy and was wondering if we'd have to borrow a child so as not to look odd whilst visiting there!
I suspect that lots of people would go without children. We certainly enjoyed it as much as our daughter! It makes you feel like a child lol. Like Alice in Wonderland.

ah that's good to know, may arrange a day out in the summer then!
The Dragonfly Maze in Bourton-On-The-Water in the Cotswolds is a really good maze. There are clues to work out on the paths so that when you get to the centre you will be able to find the dragonfly.
